[Shop types / General repair](https://usebrinlo.com/shop-types/)

## Brake repair and inspection

One job. Connected records.

1. Parts and labor estimate
2. Photos and inspection notes
3. Customer approval history
4. Invoice and remaining balance

## Follow the repair, even when the work changes.

### Start with the work

Build an estimate before creating a customer record. Enter parts, labor times, costs, and selling prices.

### Keep added work separate

Record an inspection finding with a photo and note. Turn it into an estimate item and ask for approval before adding it to the repair.

### Carry approved work to the invoice

Convert approved work without retyping. Record payments, check the balance, and find the repair in the vehicle's history.

## What Brinlo covers

Parts and labor entry

You enter parts prices and labor times. Brinlo does not include a licensed labor guide, automatic parts pricing, or supplier ordering.

Assignment and appointments

Assign a technician, set a due date, and manage appointments in the internal shop calendar. Customers do not book appointments through Brinlo.

Bringing customer records across

Import customers and vehicles by CSV. This does not include historical invoices, attachments, or accounting migration.

## Keep the work and the customer decision together.

Write the estimate, get approval, and keep the invoice and balance with the job.
